Instant Ramen Review - Nissin RAOH Umami Soy Sauce
I received this instant ramen from the company when they were offering free samples. This shoyu-based broth was pretty good. It had a sweet-salty combo and was full-bodied enough to probably be very good with added meats and vegetables. Speaking of which, this packet did not include any additional toppings. No dehydrated vegetables or meat chunks. The soup packet just seemed to contain the sweet soy sauce and some oil. The noodles were a little spaghetti-like; not as dense as other instant ramen, but still tasty nonetheless. The website states that the noodles aren't fried and that a" triple-layer process" is used, whatever that means.
The ramen is from the Nissin company, makers of the infamous Cup of Noodles and Top Ramen. However, this is definitely a cut above those two products. Those aforementioned brands are for like children and college students; Nissin RAOH is for adults. You should also expect to pay adult prices for these, as they are definitely more expensive than Top Ramen. The flip side is that Nissin RAOH also tastes better so you are definitely getting what you pay for. I believe these are only available through Amazon.com.
